Sculptor and blacksmith Angharad Pearce Jones has made a fence running from the entrance of A&E to The Healing Garden. The screen repeats a tree pattern, leading people to the garden and enclosing the space with imagined trees. The fencing is made of plate steel from Port Talbot and painted the same orange used in the Grange.

Angharad said: ‘I have named this project Coed Lynfa in memory of my Mother in law, Lynfa Deakin, who was born at the original Grange Hospital Cwmbran in 1945 and sadly passed away from Covid 19 the day before the decorative metal screens were installed. She had been aware, in her final days, that I was working on this project and I found great comfort from being at the site where she was born and witnessing the cyclical nature of life.

Mae'r cerflunydd a'r gof Angharad Pearce Jones wedi creu ffens sy'n ymestyn o fynedfa'r Adran Damweiniau ac Achosion Brys i'r Ardd Iachâd. Mae'r sgrin yn ailadrodd patrwm coed, gan arwain pobl i'r ardd ac amgáu'r gofod gyda choed dychmygol. Mae'r ffens wedi'i gwneud o ddur plât o Bort Talbot a'i beintio yr un lliw oren ag a ddefnyddiwyd yn y Faenor.

Meddai Angharad: 'Rwyf wedi galw'r prosiect hwn yn Coed Lynfa er cof am fy Mam yng nghyfraith, Lynfa Deakin, a aned yn Ysbyty gwreiddiol y Faenor yng Nghwmbrân ym 1945 ac, yn anffodus, a fu farw o Covid 19 y diwrnod cyn i’r sgriniau metel addurniadol gael eu codi. Roedd hi wedi bod yn ymwybodol, yn ystod ei dyddiau olaf, fy mod i'n gweithio ar y prosiect hwn a chefais gysur mawr o fod ar y safle lle y cafodd ei geni a bod yn dyst i natur gylchol bywyd.'
