Arctic Air

For the cardiology department and junior doctors’ mess, eight works were collected from photographer Steph Lord, via Captivate Gallery in Chepstow. The images forming Arctic Air were taken in January 2021, when the light was its coldest due to the arctic air sweeping the country, bathing the countryside near Steph’s home in a soft, ethereal light. Three are drone images, which provide different perspectives on the landscape and draw out the intricate textures and patterns of nature.

Ar gyfer yr adran gardioleg ac ystafell fwyta’r meddygon iau, casglwyd wyth gwaith gan y ffotograffydd Steph Lord, drwy Oriel Captivate yng Nghas-gwent. Tynnwyd y lluniau sy'n ffurfio Arctic Air ym mis Ionawr 2021, pan oedd y golau ar ei oeraf oherwydd bod aer yr arctig yn ysgubo dros y wlad, gan orchuddio cefn gwlad ger cartref Steph â golau tyner, arallfydol. Mai tair delwedd yn rhai a gymerwyd â drôn, sy'n darparu gwahanol persbectif ar y dirwedd ac yn tynnu sylw at weadau a phatrymau cymhleth natur.
